Wedding Cake Terms and Conditions
Booking
All quotations are valid for 30 days. To secure your booking with me I require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the cake total. I will hold your date for you for 48 hours once the invoice has been issued. Your date is not secure and order not confirmed as booked until I have received the deposit.
Cancelation
If you would like to cancel your booking, I will require 4 weeks notice of the required date in writing via email cakesbyvictoriamarie@gmail.com. The deposit already paid is non-returnable. If you would like to move your booking to a new date this must be in writing 2 weeks notice of the required date, I cannot guarantee that the new chosen date will be available. If your new chosen date is not available the deposit is non-returnable.
Final Payment
The balance of your order is due to be paid in full 4 weeks before the date required. If the remaining amount is not paid 4 weeks before the required date, I may be unable to complete your order.
I will produce your cake(s) as described on your final invoice. Please double check that it is detailed as you require. By paying your final invoice, you are confirming that what is detailed on that form is what you want me to provide. Due to the nature of the bespoke goods slight variations on colour may occur.
Alterations
If for any reason the design or theme needs to be changed, I will need a minimum of 2 weeks notice of this change and this must be in writing via email to cakesbyvictoriamarie@gmail.com I will try to accommodate the request where possible however this cannot always be guaranteed. A new quotation will be provided and any difference in cost to be paid.
Delivery
Your wedding cake will be delivered to your venue and set up as we have discussed.
Please make sure that the correct address and postcode of your venue is on your invoice. If you request that we leave your cake(s) with someone, this is your responsibility. I will not be liable if they do not arrive with you safely after I have handed them over. I cannot leave the cake(s) outside or in a safe place therefore please ensure that you or someone has been arranged to receive the cake(s). If no one is there I will not attempt re-delivery and the cake(s) will need to be arranged to be collected.
I will not be held responsible for any damage to the cake(s) after I have delivered them to you or your venue.
All cakes are extremely fragile and care must be taken when handling, storing and displaying the cake. A handover pack will be given to your venue once the cake has been set up.
In the case of unavoidable situation such as a car accident or poor road conditions when I am delivering your cake, the seller cannot be held liable for more than the cost of the ordered cake.
Allergies
Cakes and bakes contain gluten, wheat, dairy and eggs unless other- wise stated. I am willing to accommodate for certain allergies however, please consider this is a working kitchen full of a wide range of ingredients. I will use the correct ingredients for your allergy but I cannot guarantee it will be free from that particular requirement due to the kitchen it is baked in. I accept no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes.
Cake Care
I will provide cake care instructions prior to collecting the cake(s). All cakes are buttercream based and therefore will begin to melt if care isn’t taken. I will not be held responsible once the cake(s) has been delivered/collected.
Cakes that are displayed must be kept cool and shaded at all times. All non-edible toppers and decorations will need to be removed before consuming. In tiered cakes dowels will need to be removed before cutting/serving.
